The Mechanical Engineer – Thermal Engineering (Level 2) will support the design, analysis, and validation of thermal systems for advanced aerospace and defense applications. This role involves conducting thermal analyses, developing thermal control solutions, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure system performance in extreme environments. The selected candidate will perform steady-state and transient thermal modeling, support hardware development and test activities, and contribute to system-level integration efforts. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate requirements into effective thermal design solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM discipline
  • 2+ years of professional experience in thermal engineering or heat transfer analysis (internships/co-ops may be considered)
  • Experience performing thermal analysis using tools such as Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, ANSYS, or similar
  • Working knowledge of heat transfer principles (i.e. conduction, convection, radiation) and thermodynamics
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, thus US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience supporting aerospace, missile, spacecraft, or hypersonic programs
