About The Position

As a flight software test intern, you will work with our flight software team in analyzing, designing, and testing of software products for Millennium Space Systems. This position will design and write test cases, oversee test strategies and perform testing on hardware and simulations for our flight software. We are looking for someone who wants to find ways to break our software! Over the course of our 10-12 week internship experience you will have the opportunity to: Develop test plans and write test cases Write and run test scripts Debug software and tests, both on real hardware and in an emulated environment Analyze test results to verify its functionality and recommend corrective action upon findings of anomalies Manage the GitLab CI to automatically run the tests This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. These positions must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Additionally, some positions may require the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Requirements

  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026
  • Basic understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer (with focus on conduction and radiation)
  • Pursuing a degree in an Engineering field (ex: Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Energy, Materials, etc.)
  • Proficiency in at least one CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), and MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2026
  • These positions must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
  • Additionally, applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
