About The Position

Some companies call them “Floating Maintenance Supervisors,” but at Prometheus our Floating Neighborhood Service Manager is part of the SOS Team. What is SOS you may ask? It stands for “Support Operations Specialists” and is the team responsible for floating management, leasing, and maintenance support across our residential portfolio. As an SOS Neighborhood Service Manager, you get the unique experience of working with teams of all sizes and Neighborhoods with unit counts as cozy as 100 to those as epic as 1,000! The SOS Neighborhood Service Manager is responsible for all physical operations of the assigned Neighborhood, particularly the preservation and maintenance of the property. Leadership - In order to provide a quality living environment, it's essential to establish positive, productive relationships with the Neighborhood staff. You will hire, train, and mentor your staff, resolve problems, and look out for the best interest of the Neighborhood. Neighborhood Management - As the Neighborhood Service Manager, you are responsible for the budget through cost-effective management of maintenance functions. You will be in charge of on-going safety training, capital projects, managing vendors and contractors, and maintaining inventory. Upholding Standards - Your team and Neighborhood will look to you for answers and it's your job to know where to find them. You'll be a knowledge holder of company policies and an example of how to comply with rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Neighborhood.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience and/or training in the apartment maintenance
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, Neighbors, and the general public
  • Ready to help when needed, and you are on-call to help your team & Neighborhood
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local governing laws, and the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and maintenance instructions
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • This role requires standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
