About The Position

We are looking for a responsible Floor Care Tech to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, janitor, or floor care tech to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises, as well as preventing vandalism. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian / floor care tech role focused on building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial maintenance jobs. The floor care tech position will at times be required to assist the custodial crews with cleaning duties as needed by Shift Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Experience in a floor care role
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
  • Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness
  • Very good physical condition and strength

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Strip and Wax Terrazzo Floors
  • Sweep, mop floors and vacuum carpets
  • Operate handheld and riding scrubber equipment
  • Shampoo & Extract Carpets
  • Spot treat carpet stains
  • Order supplies with Account Manager to ensure product is always stocked
  • Perform equipment inspections
  • Report major damages to shift leader
  • Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks.
