Floor Tech-EVS-Full Time Nights-Temecula Valley Hospital
About The Position
The Floor Tech is responsible for ensuring adequate floor care through the hospital: Vacuums carpeting, floor stripping, floor waxing, floor re-finishing, floor buffing, floor burnishing, floor scrubbing, sweeps, mops, shampoos, machine scrubs and extracts carpets. They are also responsible for the cleaning, maintenance of floor in offices, corridors, lobbies, common areas, waiting rooms, patient rooms and related areas. The Floor tech will pick up medical waste and regular waste from all areas and transport to the designated holding area and/or compactors as well as pick up soiled linen from all areas and transport them to the soiled linen holding area; deliver clean linen to all areas from clean linen room. In addition, the Floor Tech also performs duties of Environmental Services Worker – Housekeeper; if required.
Requirements
- Familiar with required safety/testing procedures
- Oversees and implements diversity specific safety plans and implements accident prevention/safety measure
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide floor care maintenance, and knowledge of equipment and products
