About the position

The Seminole Tribe operates several casinos and is recognized for its innovation in gaming. The Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino offers a vibrant work environment where employees are treated like rock stars. The position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining carpet and tile areas in the casino facility under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Apply and repair all types of carpets and tile to walls, floors, ceilings, and promenade roof decks.
  • Walk all carpeted areas of the Casino floor as well as public spaces and restrooms daily to develop repair lists to enter into Synergy.
  • Measure, cut carpets and tiles, and use tile saws, edging tools, grout removal tools, carpet irons, and cutters.
  • Spread and level adhesive and plaster bases as appropriate, and level surfaces to accept new flooring.
  • Inspect and monitor surfaces to identify location and causes of cracks or other defects and report to supervisor.
  • Maintain and repair tools and equipment as necessary; monitor inventory of supplies.
  • Interface and coordinate with internal departments to schedule installations and repairs to minimize business interruption.
  • Assist in estimating material costs and labor hours needed to complete assigned jobs; maintain required records on selected projects.
  • Examine blueprints, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, and lay out work.
  • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or trade school certificate required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
