About The Position

Foxtrot Aviation Services is looking for dedicated, energetic, quality and safety focused individuals to join our ever-growing family! As a Floor Technician at Foxtrot Aviation, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment for our staff and customers. The Floor Technician is responsible for the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of floors in a facility. This includes cleaning, polishing, and maintaining various floor surfaces such as tile, carpet, hardwood, and concrete. The technician will ensure that all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Based out of Nashville International Airport (BNA) Shift Schedule 6pm- 2:30 am, Open availability including weekends.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in floor care or janitorial services is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Must be able to pass a 10 year background check and obtain airport badging.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test (this includes the recreational use of Marijuana)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
  • Capable of bending, twisting, lifting and using machinery such as buffers for extended periods of time.
  • Perform general manual labor.
  • Open availability and flexibility with scheduling.
  • Veterans must provide the form DD214 of discharge information if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish hard floors.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets using professional cleaning equipment.
  • Buff and wax floors to maintain shine and protect surfaces.
  • Remove stains, gum, and other debris using appropriate cleaning products and techniques.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate floor cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, extractors, burnishers, and vacuums.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on cleaning equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE (e.g., gloves, goggles, and non-slip footwear).
  • Handle cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and manufacturer instructions.
  • Ensure all tasks meet OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Inspections and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of floor surfaces to identify areas needing attention.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Customer Service: Maintain professionalism when interacting with clients, staff, and visitors.
  • Address concerns or special requests promptly and courteously.
