About The Position

The Floor Tech is responsible for keeping offices, buildings, and facilities in a clean and orderly condition. Duties may include performing unscheduled activities, notifying management of the need for servicing and additional cleaning.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of related Floor Specialist experience is preferred but not required.
  • Possess and demonstrate a courteous and positive attitude toward customers.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Must have ability to maintain assigned work hours.
  • Ability to follow basic operating instructions.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for successful completions of assigned tasks
  • Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Waxing and buffing floors.
  • Perform periodic cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass and removing rubbish.
  • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Mixes water and detergents in containers according to product specifications to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, or furniture.
  • Drives vehicle for travel across facility to various buildings.
  • May have to move equipment and supplies either manually or by using a hand truck.
  • Informs lead and/or manager of need of any major equipment for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate a low speed & high-speed buffer
  • Demonstrate ability to operate a carpet extractor
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
