About The Position

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for processing operations, mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting, sanitation and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment, along with providing support to warehouse and packing operations. Shift hours: 8-hour shifts 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am Currently hiring for 2nd shift and/or 3rd shift (dependent upon business need) Training will be on 1st shift (7 am to 3 pm) and then transfer to 2nd or 3rd shift Dependent upon business need, this position will require ability to work 6 and/or 7 day workweeks. More information on scheduling will be provided during the interview process. Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, including 4 hours prior to or over scheduled shift (when needed) Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Mechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing or related industry
  • Forklift experience; Forklift license/certification or willing to obtain one
  • Experience in warehouse operations and use of WMS (preferably SAP, Blue Yonder)
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to interact with digital systems used in daily tasks
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for running and troubleshooting problems with automated machinery and partnering with maintenance staff to resolve issues in the production of 25 and 50 lb bags of flour
  • Perform minor mechanical maintenance during bottlenecks or downtime
  • Calibrate processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specifications
  • Participate in startup, changeover, and shut down of operating equipment
  • Lead and Complete flour bulk truck loadout as needed
  • Perform required sanitation tasks
  • Conduct inbound/outbound flour warehouse operations, including successful certification to assist with railcar movement
  • Accurately and timely receive inbound and outbound materials into warehouse inventory management system; perform inventory functions
  • Working with Warehouse, Milling, Sanitation and Maintenance departments as needed to support Packing and Warehouse operations
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Assist in training new employees
