Responsibilities

  • Work with various materials such as foam, wood, metals, and plastics to complete creative projects
  • Reading shop drawings to assess the project and assemble materials to specifications
  • Applying paint and other coatings manually and with spray applicators
  • Using power tools and hand tools to cut and prepare raw materials for assembly
  • Sanding a variety of materials for different finishes
  • Applying decal to a variety of materials
  • Inspects finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
  • Inspect each project for quality and document each step in the process
  • Follows all safety standards and procedures
  • Keeps shop and work area clean and organized
  • Works with a sense of urgency to meet short deadlines without compromising quality
  • Interest and ability to work long hours and weekends as needed
  • Crosstrain and assist in other departments, as needed
