Scope of Position This highly motivated individual, as part of the Operations team will be responsible for overseeing a specific segment or "focus factory" within the manufacturing plant ensuring efficient production, quality control, and cost management. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating teams, and maintaining high standards for production while driving continuous improvement. The Focus Factory Manager will be responsible for specific products, processes, or product lines within the factory, optimizing resources and managing production timelines. This position is responsible for supervision of Manufacturing Supervisors in specific departments. This position reports to the Plant Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Menomonee Falls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of Manufacturing Supervision in an hourly environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

  • Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods. Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials. Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks. Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers. Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Lead the implementation of 5S methodologies across the focus factory to ensure a systematic approach to workplace organization.
  • Conduct regular LPA’s and inspections to guarantee products meet all specifications
  • Ensure production processes adhere to quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Promote a culture of innovation to enhance safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies.
  • Analyze production data and implement corrective actions for identified inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
  • Manage daily operations within the focus factory to ensure production goals are met.
  • Ensure the effective use of machinery, tools, and labor to maximize output and quality.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to accommodate changes or delays.
  • Manage production costs by optimizing tier daily management, improving material usage, minimizing waste, and improving labor efficiency.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the focus factory’s operational needs.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Company management.
