About The Position

We’re looking for a Front of House Lead to serve as the manager’s right hand and help set the tone for hospitality and daily operations. This role blends hands-on service with leadership, playing a key part in keeping the floor running smoothly while upholding The Buttery’s standards. You’ll support opening and closing procedures, assist with training and coaching the team, maintain product quality, and help manage flow during busy service periods. As a FOH Lead, you’ll model warm, attentive hospitality and help build a positive, connected team culture where both guests and teammates feel cared for. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role and help shape the rhythm, culture, and guest experience of a brand-new location from day one. Requirements

  • 1–2 years of hospitality or cafe experience, with leadership or shift-lead experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead by example with warmth, professionalism, and a focus on quality.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and willingness to support both service and operational tasks as needed.
  • Passion for hospitality, with a love for food, beverage, and creating excellent guest experiences.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to a supportive, growth-minded workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Support the managers in overseeing daily operations and serve as Shift Supervisor as needed.
  • Lead the FOH team during service, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional hospitality.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members, reinforcing service and product standards.
  • Support the manager in upholding brand standards across the store and with personnel.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times.
  • Deliver warm, knowledgeable service while ensuring a smooth, efficient guest experience.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain full product knowledge to support strong customer communication.
  • Assist with retail inventory management, stock rotation, and supply ordering.
  • Support accuracy in cash handling, POS operations, and daily sales procedures.
  • Uphold food safety practices and maintain a clean, safe environment for guests and staff.
