About The Position

STS Packaging, a Schwarz Partners, L.P. Joint Venture company, is currently seeking a Folder Gluer Operator in Mooresville, IN. The Folder Gluer Operator safely and efficiently ensures the timely production of quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations. This position operates in a safe, hazard-free work environment, maintaining quality and production procedures, achieving total customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner, with continuous support to the Finishing Supervisor.

Requirements

High School degree or GED.
2 years’ experience operating straight-line gluer equipment.
Knowledge of how to perform basic quality checks
Familiar with production terminology
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills
Strong work ethic
Basic understanding of OEE and how it is used to measure machine overall performance
Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures
Fluent in English required

Nice To Haves

College/Trade School degree in manufacturing.
Fluency in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

Demonstrates ability to achieve production goals in straight-line gluing area; maintain quality throughout production day
Is aware of and adheres to production schedule; product specifications, quality, delivery and service goals
Demonstrates proficiency on required paperwork, and ensures all inventory, scrap, quality standards, etc. are logged accurately
Demonstrates proficiencies on glue tolerances and machine settings, operation, cleaning and maintenance
Ensures 5S standards are followed according to visual aids in the department
Other duties related to day-to-day issues that may arise, as assigned by the Finishing supervisor
Ability to work overtime as the job
Maintains a clean and safe work area and reports unsafe conditions to management for resolution
Adheres to all safety policies, including always wearing required PPE, and sets an example to others for model safety behavior
Understands common quality defects, including how to detect as well as what to do if observed
Responsible for reporting any product quality or food safety issues to the Quality Manager (SQF Practitioner) or Management Team member
Conform to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures and policies to assure products are suitable for food contact
Additional duties as assigned.
