About The Position

The F&B Cashier position is responsible for greeting and assisting guests with placing and paying for orders.

Requirements

  • Experience with POS in a restaurant, bar, or casino preferred. 1 year of experience cash handling preferred.
  • Excellent guest service skills are required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to create a positive guest experience with both internal and external guests.
  • Must be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks. Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to work individually or with a team as necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, and multiply.
  • Must be able to maintain the appropriate Gaming License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain responsible service of alcohol and food handler certification through Prairie Flower training courses.

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent and personalized service to our guests by engaging with each guest in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Takes food and drink orders accurately and efficiently. Ensures orders are delivered to the guest in a timely manner and all requested items are accurate.
  • Exhibits a strong knowledge of the menu and stays up to date on changes and specials. Explains the menu to guests and provides assistance with questions or concerns.
  • Works as a team with all staff members to ensure an excellent guest service experience.
  • Works with the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately enter orders and charge guests for their orders. Handles credit card and cash transactions and ensures accurate change.
  • Follows all responsible service of alcohol guidelines including service times, monitoring for signs of intoxication, and checking identification for age requirements.
  • Performs standard stocking of front work area.
  • Sets up and maintains cleanliness and organization of work area according to food safety standards and sanitation requirements.
  • Performs all duties in a positive, professional manner. Maintains a clean and professional appearance according to company standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Works physically onsite to perform all assigned tasks.
  • Ensures all safety standards are met, and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.
