Position Summary

The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food to guests quickly and accurately while supporting servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient service. This role plays a key part in maintaining presentation standards and creating a positive dining experience in a busy indoor and outdoor beachfront restaurant.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable and punctual
• Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Food Handler certification required (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from kitchen to guests promptly and accurately
• Verify orders for accuracy, quality, and presentation before leaving the kitchen
• Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain service flow
• Assist servers with table maintenance and guest requests
• Describe menu items when delivering food as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo lines and service stations
• Assist with running beverages, clearing tables, and resetting dining areas
• Support opening, closing, and side work duties
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Provide friendly, professional guest interaction at all times
