About The Position

The Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Supervisor plays a pivotal role in upholding quality standards for our food products. This role involves engaging in variable work activities that demand sound judgment, including prioritization, result evaluation, and effective coordination with colleagues. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards of products produced on a specific shift.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year in a food manufacturing environment is required.
  • Written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.
  • High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • This position is responsible for supervising a small group of personnel who perform somewhat similar tasks.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8-point policy (on application date)
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior supervisory/lead and quality assurance experience preferred.
  • HACCP/HARPC certifications are preferred, along with broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs.
  • Basic computer skills for creating simple queries and spreadsheets.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FSQA technicians on their assigned shift.
  • Ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct audits and assist the FSQA manager in ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare the facility for GFSI and customer-specific audits.
  • Investigate and address customer complaints, foreign material incidents, and environmental issues.
  • Verify production paperwork and conduct production floor checks.
  • Execute audits to ensure cleanliness and adherence to GMP standards.
  • Oversee the annual reassessment of HACCP.
  • Facilitate Team Member food safety training.
  • Flexibility in work hours is required, with coverage on other shifts as needed.
  • Occasional weekend work may be assigned by the Manager.
  • Communicate with onsite regulators (USDA).
