About The Position

We have an exciting Food Safety Specialist opportunity in our Guymon Processing Plant. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the HACCP team.  The Food Safety Specialist is responsible for understanding and implementation of the company’s HACCP programs/procedures and any other Food Safety supporting programs/procedures or activities. This can and will include observation of FSQA monitors and verifiers performing Food Safety checks.   ABOUT US At Seaboard Foods, we create the most sought-after pork. Requirements

  • High School or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year or higher college degree, preferred.
  • One or more years’ experience in meat processing or closely related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records to assure consistency of product quality, compliance to regulatory agency requirements and documentation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) process.
  • Must be able to learn all areas of the Food Safety Department.
  • Proactively verify and validate documentation of current food safety programs related to all aspects of the facility Food Safety/Regulatory Compliance programs such as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Animal Welfare Program, Sanitation Standard Operation Procedures (SSOP’s), and Sanitation Performance Standards (SPS).
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of new and current federal, state and local regulations that affect food safety requirements associated with manufacturing, processing and packing, distribution etc., (HACCP, SSOPs, GMP’s).
  • Review and scrutinize all aspects of the food safety and quality assurance systems. Ensure the USDA regulatory requirements are met.
  • Assist in the overall accountability of ensuring the food safety and humane handling system documentation are properly written, documented, and posted to ensure regulatory and customer compliance and the production of high quality, safe, and wholesome product.
  • Support FSQA needs as they relate to overnight sanitation, overtime reduction, pre-operational inspections & data collection.
