About The Position

At the Barber National Institute, we’re making dreams come true. We support children and adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health challenges by providing education, resources, and compassionate care. As a Food Service Aide, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students and staff. We are looking to fill a part - time Food Aide, M-F from 7:30-2:30.

Requirements

• A commitment to excellent customer service
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing needs
• A passion for helping others in a meaningful way
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs with assistance
• Comfort working in a school setting with light to medium physical demands
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Driving to sponsor sites to pick up and deliver meals
• Assisting with food prep and serving meals to students and staff
• Cleaning dishes, utensils, and dining areas
• Stocking supplies and maintaining inventory
• Following health and safety guidelines from the PA Department of Health
• Supporting students with physical or behavioral needs as required
