About The Position

Lorain County Metro Parks is currently seeking food service employees at Sundaes in the Park at Columbia Reservation. Food service employees will help with food preparation and service while adhering to the state of Ohio’s Health Department rules and regulations. Food service employees will also operate a point-of-sale register to sell food and beverages along with mini golf. Employees must provide excellent guest service in all guest interactions. We are seeking individuals who are available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Knowledge of food service is preferable but not necessary.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license or State ID.
• New employees must satisfactorily complete a background check.
• Lorain County Metropolitan Park District policy prohibits hiring new employees who are tobacco users.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe and efficient food handling and preparation according to the standards set by the Ohio Department of Health.
• Respond to inquiries both in person and over the phone. Friendly customer service, accurately ringing up charges at the register, and proper cash handling procedures per LCMP policies. Focus attention on customer needs while remaining professional and courteous at all times, even when under pressure.
• Perform open/close functions following guidelines and procedures established by LCMP’s Food Services Coordinator.
• Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Lorain County Metro Parks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. This job also requires the ability to work outdoors.
• Carries out duties and responsibilities safely and efficiently to maintain a safe work environment for oneself, co-workers, and the public.
• Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
