Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a Food Service Manager 3 at Bentley University, located in Waltham, MA. Sodexo at Bentley University is seeking a dynamic and creative Food Manager to join our team and lead residential dining operations for a vibrant and diverse student community. This role blends strong operational leadership with innovation—analyzing dining trends, student feedback, and service patterns to introduce fresh menu ideas and engaging dining experiences. As a member of the residential dining team, the Food Service Manager maintains the look and feel of the dining experience, building meaningful connections with students and staff while ensuring high standards of food quality, hospitality, safety, and operational excellence. The Food Service Manager 3 provides supervision and oversight for multi-functional food service concepts in the main dining hall at this showcase account. The manager ensures the highest level of customer and client satisfaction and contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in food service operations and staff supervision.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Creativity and the ability to enhance student engagement through innovative dining ideas.
  • Proven track record of maintaining safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 years Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and uphold a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.
  • Lead daily operations by delegating tasks, prioritizing workflow, and monitoring performance standards.
  • Utilize Sodexo programs and resources to meet operating standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring staff have the proper tools and inventory.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor employees through constructive feedback to support high engagement and performance.
  • Drive innovation through analysis of student trends, feedback, and dining patterns.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain the dining hall’s appearance, atmosphere, and hospitality standards to enhance the student experience.
