About The Position

To maintain the school kitchen and. dining room areas in a physical condition of cleanliness, healthfulness, and safety at all times in preparation for educational and operational use, and to assist with all kitchen duties.

Requirements

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, or the exhibited desire and ability to perform the required duties
  • Fluency in writing, speaking and reading English.
  • Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required.
  • Some positions require a valid State of Arizona Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • previous experience in custodial work is desired

Responsibilities

  • Prepare dining room for breakfast and lunch meal This includes setting up the proper number of tables; arranging trash cans, brooms, and mop station for use during meal periods; and preparing sanitizer buckets for table cleaning.
  • Prepping and serving meals as time allows.
  • Keep dining room clean throughout lunch period by performing tasks that include wiping down all tables, emptying trash cans, and cleaning trash/debris from Specific dining arrangements may be needed for students with special dietary needs, i.e., peanut allergy, or those attending special education programs. Flexibility for accommodating all students is required.
  • Assist cafeteria manager with putting away groceries, commodities, and milk, when
  • Ensure tables, floors and trash cans get thoroughly cleaned throughout school
  • Practice proper sanitation and safety procedures according to health department and district
