Requirements

Previous food service experience preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills necessary

Responsibilities

Responsible for serving meals for the cafeteria.
Helps cook in setting up cold serving line for meal such as cold beverage, silverware, condiments, and napkins.
Assists with food preparation according to production schedule such as:
Prepares salads, desserts, breads, juice, gelatin, and pudding as necessary.
Makes coffee for patients and employees.
Assists in dishing salads and desserts for patients and cafeteria.
Prepares food in a nutritious and appetizing manner by following standardized recipes, therapeutic menus, and diet manual.
Adheres to meal schedule and serves food at proper temperature.
Cleans cafeteria, dining room, and work area.
Washes & puts away all dishes and silverware from dish machine using sanitary procedures.
Assists with stocking paper supplies.
In charge of cafeteria cashier which includes handling money, making change, and charging appropriate employee accounts.
Performs related duties as assigned within the Food Service Department.
