About The Position

Responsible for performing job functions relative to service for patients, retail/catering customers, food prep, and sanitation. Attractively prepares, portions/assembles, serves food, beverage items for patients, catering, and retail customers. All while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service so that we exceed patient/customers expectations and experience. Performs ware washing tasks, cleans pot & pans, utensils, general sanitation. Must practice food safety, proper sanitation techniques, while maintaining a safe environment for customers, patients, self, and co-workers. Requirements

  • Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently assembles patient trays according to established procedures according to selections and diet. Restocks supplies as needed.
  • Prepares foods as appropriate for assigned position following recipes and safe food guideline for patients, retail/catering customers.
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment (ovens, steamers, stove tops)
  • Sweeping and mopping floors, coolers, organizing storage areas, checking labels and dates of specific products
  • Assist in cleaning areas & gathering trash (walls, carts, mobile equipment, etc. throughout department as scheduled or needed.)
  • Accurately operates point of sale (cash register), exceeding customer experience. All cash handling procedures accurately followed.
  • Serves in café utilizing appropriate customer service skills. Follows all recipe and portion control standards. Stocks supplies, and product.
  • Works in the dish room as scheduled, following acceptable procedures. All pots & pans must be properly washed, rinsed, and sanitized per OHD procedures.
  • Gathers and delivers requisition supplies for the pantry stock
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed. May assist in other area as relief.
