About The Position

Food Services Training Supervisor (All NUWAY Alliance Locations) #2004 NUWAY Alliance is currently looking for candidates to work with our South Minneapolis staff in a full-time capacity as a Food Services Training Supervisor . The ideal candidate would have past experience in broad cooking skills in a variety of venues with regard to the preparation and serving of nutritional meals on a full service, 3 meal a day basis. Position Overview The Food Services Training Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily food production while leading training, skill development, and standardization efforts for all Food Services staff. This role serves as the department’s primary trainer and subject matter expert, ensuring consistency in meal preparation, food safety practices, menu execution, and recipe standards across programs. The Food Services Training Supervisor supports menu planning, recipe creation, and culinary process improvement and teaches the required techniques to ensure successful execution of all menu items.

Requirements

  • Age 21 or older
  • Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
  • 3 years related experience preparing food in a “scratch” kitchen
  • ServSafe Manager Certified
  • Daily use of computer, phone, and kitchen facility equipment.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, lifting (max 50 pounds) with frequent reaching, bending and stooping.
  • Ability to effectively navigate program or office environment such as ascending and descending steps, passing through doorways and entrances, and accessing program/office facilities.
  • Ability to travel between locations
  • Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Able to effectively document services in writing formatted in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in an addiction treatment residential facility
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work on a team
  • Minnesota Driver’s License without restrictions
