Overall Responsibilities: The Foreclosure Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys throughout all phases of the foreclosure litigation process. This role involves case management, legal research, document preparation, discovery coordination, and trial preparation. The Foreclosure Litigation Paralegal ensures that legal documents are properly organized, filed, and maintained while assisting attorneys in delivering effective legal services to clients.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (Paralegal certification preferred).
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of foreclosure litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of foreclosure litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of foreclosure litigation, including case investigation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Manage and organize case files, exhibits, and legal documents in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and legal articles to support case strategies.
  • Coordinate and manage the discovery process, including document collection, review, and production.
  • Prepare deposition summaries and assist with deposition and trial preparation.
  • Schedule court appearances, depositions, mediations, and meetings.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel as directed by attorneys.
  • Maintain case calendars and monitor important deadlines.
  • Assist attorneys during hearings, mediations, and trials when necessary.
