About The Position

Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School, a St. Louis Archdiocesan coeducational college preparatory high school serving grades 9–12, seeks a full‑time, certified Foreign Language Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach in an urban, college‑preparatory environment, possess a strong academic background, and hold a valid Missouri State Teaching License (Master’s degree preferred). Dual credit or Advanced Placement credentials are preferred but not required. The employed person is expected to: Articulate and uphold the policies, procedures, mission, and vision of the St. Louis Archdiocese and Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School. Properly plan and deliver high‑quality instruction using the Gradual Release Model, create assessments that promote higher‑order thinking, integrate instructional technology, and implement project‑based learning activities. Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, utilize the school’s online student data system, and effectively use Google applications. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to the vocation of teaching and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language, World Languages Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Missouri State Teaching Certification in the applicable language (required)
  • Strong content knowledge and proficiency in the target language

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience teaching in a college‑preparatory and/or urban educational environment (preferred)
  • Ability to prepare students for advanced coursework (AP/Dual Credit preferred)
