Q2 Artificial Lift Services (ALS) has 40+ repair and service facilities located across the Canada and the U.S. Our service locations are supported by a world-class manufacturing operation (API & ISO Certified), plus a highly skilled engineering and optimization group. Q2 ALS manufactures high quality individual pump parts in the Oil and Gas Industry. We offer a complete product line of barrels, plungers, fittings, accessories and heat treated tubing needed for downhole pump installations. US Rod Manufacturing in Nappanee, Indiana, is sourcing for a forge operator. Shift schedule is 5AM-3:30PM Monday through Thursday, Friday 5AM-1:30PM, occasional Saturday work. The Forge Operator is responsible for operating the forge at the manufacturing plant. Specific responsibilities may include: Review shop order packet for procedural instructions. Perform and assists own setups. Check dimensions of parts and holds tolerance of plus or minus .001. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies. Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure conformance to product specifications and record QC data. Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. Use of most types of inspection gages. Example ID/OD micrometers. Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives. Understand the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements. Other duties as assigned.
