About The Position

Wismettac is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Forklift Operator 1 to support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you aren’t just moving product—you’re helping ensure our customers receive the high-quality food products they rely on, accurately and on time. You will operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, stage, and organize product in a fast-paced food distribution warehouse while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience required (certification preferred).
Safety Mindset: Strong commitment to workplace safety and following warehouse procedures.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately pick, stage, and organize product.
Reliability: Strong attendance, teamwork, and willingness to support warehouse operations as needed.
Pre-employment Drug testing is required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

Responsibilities

Safe Equipment Operation: Operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
Inventory Accuracy: Pick, stage, and store product while ensuring correct quantities and locations.
Receiving & Put-Away: Assist with unloading inbound shipments and placing product in designated storage areas.
Order Fulfillment: Prepare customer orders for shipment following company and food safety standards.
Warehouse Support: Maintain a clean and organized work environment and assist with general warehouse tasks when needed.
