Forklift Operator - Material Handler 2nd shift

About The Position

Material Handler supports the Materials Management Department. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have some experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office. Experience picking parts using a scanner and packing parts for shipment required. DOT medical exam required to drive company vehicles. Temporary to a permanent position.

Requirements

GED or High School Diploma.
Proficient understanding of basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
At least 6 months experience operating a forklift or reach truck.
Possess strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
Must pass background check and drug test

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of MRP or ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Pick and stage materials for production
Accurately pull parts from pick tickets and stages materials for production.
Safely operate various pieces of warehouse equipment (Cherry Pickers, Forklifts etc.).
Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting as directed. Communicate issues regarding part discrepancies to the Warehouse Lead
Safely operates various pieces of warehouse equipment (Forklifts etc.)
Actively participate as a member of the team to move the team towards completion of goals.
Takes the initiative to find, identify and propose changes to processes not working well.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
