General Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for the daily movement of product throughout the warehouse and maintaining accurate reconciliation of product, as well as the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the truck yard, using a spotter truck, to stage trailers in designated areas for loading and unloading. This position also maintains yard organization and verifies trailer locations.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a cooler (34-38F)
• Ability to read/write/speak in English
• Good computer aptitude and math skills
• Lift up to 60 pounds frequently and 80+ pounds.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime
• Exceptional attendance record
• 1-3 years of experience operating a forklift (stand-up preferred)
• 1-3 years of experience operating a spotter truck
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Experience operating a forklift or powered pallet jacks

Nice To Haves

• Experience working within RF controlled inventory systems or with food products is a plus
• Class A CDL (preferred, not required)
• Previous experience with RF controlled inventory systems (a plus)
• Previous experience handling food products (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks
• General shipping and receiving duties
• Follow all safety rules and procedures
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness
• Ensuring yard checks are complete at all facilities at the beginning of each shift.
• Providing visibility to trailer issues in the yard including but not limited to reefers waiting extensively to get unloaded, trailers with damage in the yard that need repair (red tagging and updating Manager).
• Daily communication with warehouse, local and driver leadership on tasks and issues needing resolution.
• Ensuring updates on reefer issues, fuel levels, or other yard issues or maintenance items needing attention.
• Participate in training and development activities as assigned, and company and/or team meetings
