We are now seeking a full-time Forklift Operator to join our growing team in our Glendale Heights, IL warehouse. This individual will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts, managing shipments, and ensuring the warehouse remains organized and efficient. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and a strong team player. Requirements
- 1+ year of experience as a forklift operator or in a warehouse environment (preferred).
- Valid forklift certification/license (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse safety practices and OSHA standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stack freight.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory by recording material movements and reporting discrepancies.
- Ensure all freight is labeled, stored, and staged correctly in the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts and equipment daily, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Support warehouse staff and supervisors with general tasks as needed (wrapping pallets, organizing shipments, etc.).
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals and timelines.
