About The Position

Position Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading trailers, loading shipping containers, and safely transporting and staging material in its designated location. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, and customers. Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize. Ability to interact with a very diverse population in a human-services setting. High level of initiative and self-motivation. Perseverance and commitment to getting the job done. A typical full-time schedule is 35-40 hours per week and requires: Open schedule availability including a combination of days, nights, and weekends, totaling at least 35 hours per week; and Willingness and ability to be cross-trained, and to train in new employees. Prior Experience & Education: Forklift operating experience required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
