Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
6 months – 1-year machine operator experience
Stand-up Lift / Forklift Certification
Basic computer skills
Read and understand basic English
Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Experience in an assembly/production environment

Responsibilities

Place caps onto batteries according to battery type
Perform the proper function of stacking on / off from conveyors
Identify all defects prior to filling with acid (1st fill)
Analyze the correct direction of the batteries during off bearing. (Understand correct polarity of batteries)
Identify the correct cable (jumpers) to be placed on specific types of batteries
Demonstrate proper use of table lift during off bearing
Ensure correct marking on the battery rack to aid Circuit Tender
Display correct use of PPE
Perform general housekeeping
Meets all quality requirements and standards
Meets all production requirements
