About the role Job Summary The Engineering Technician supports engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of products and processes. This includes testing, maintaining, and installing equipment and systems. This job profile is intended for entry-level support staff who follow specific instructions and procedures, with supervision provided for non-routine situations.

Requirements

1 + years of experience in AutoCAD/CAD-based programs including Autodesk Inventor.
Solid working knowledge and understanding of mechanical and dimensional printouts.
College courses in drafting.
Must be able to work overtime when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of turbo machinery. Aeroderivative and industrial gas and power turbines is a plus.

Responsibilities

Create new drawings of mechanical parts for the Aero Division to be used in inspections forms with current CAD program (AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD Inventor).
Create clear and legible forms in CAD, MS Excel, or MS Word for customer review with the information provided by Aero Division team members.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs in Microsoft Excel of all work performed in conjunction with the Aero operations/production team, and DCA.
Work closely and clearly communicates with the other Aero team members, project managers, supervisor, shop team members, and other divisions.
Create and maintain scopes of work and process documents in support of the Aero Division.
Maintain LEAN objectives within the department.
Maintain a Safe and Healthy workplace upholding Sulzer QESH standards.
Maintain revision control of forms, documents, and scopes of work in conjunction with Aero DCA.
Work hours are typically 7:00am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday; with expectation of daily overtime as required. Any overtime will be determined by workload and shift coverage needs.
