About The Position
You will architect and own the core Living Intelligence substrate for mā, a system unifying multimodal data into real-time semantic states. This is a founding role for a senior systems-level builder to design the narrative engines and orchestration layers that drive proactive guidance across hardware and software interfaces.
Requirements
- Has 6–12+ years of experience in applied ML or AI systems, with a proven track record of shipping production-grade products used by millions.
- Mastery of Python, PyTorch/JAX, and advanced LLM integration, specifically building complex agentic pipelines and multimodal data systems.
- Possesses a systems-thinker mindset with the agency to architect novel, ambiguous systems from scratch rather than tuning incremental features.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the semantic data substrate, unifying wearables, conversations, and environmental context into a persistent graph/RAG architecture.
- Build the narrative engine and orchestration layer to manage low-latency conversational loops and proactive agent-style planning and scheduling.
- Establish the infrastructure foundation, including model runtimes, evaluation tooling, and scalable microservices on AWS/GCP to support real-time sensor fusion.
