About The Position
Join as the third engineer building the financial account for groups. You will own features end-to-end, from crafting intuitive UIs in React to architecting backend services in Go. This is a high-impact role at an early-stage startup where your work directly enables co-ownership of money for thousands of users. Why this role is remarkable: Join an elite three-person engineering team led by a YC alum and former Block/Cash App leaders who have previously scaled payment products to 50k+ users. Tackle complex consumer UX challenges in fintech, creating sophisticated role-based permissions and spending controls that feel effortless for everyday users.
Requirements
- Significant professional experience with React and TypeScript, demonstrating a strong product sense and obsession with high-quality consumer UX details.
- Proven track record of shipping meaningful products from scratch, ideally as an early or founding engineer at a fast-growing startup.
- Technical flexibility to work across the stack, with a willingness to master Go and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Docker.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship high-quality consumer features using a modern stack of TypeScript, React, Go, and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate directly with the founder and engineering lead to scope product requirements and architect resilient financial infrastructure on AWS.
- Leverage emerging AI tools to accelerate development speed while maintaining the high bar for detail required in a trusted payment application.
