About The Position

Founding Product Manager (Healthcare AI | 0-to-1 Builder) Location: Onsite (3–5 days/week) – New York City or Dallas, TX Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 base salary Additional Compensation: Meaningful equity Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — no visa sponsorship The Opportunity HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a healthcare AI startup seeking a Founding Product Manager to join at an early and pivotal stage. The company is building an AI operating system to automate the operational backbone of home health—collapsing more than 20 traditional administrative roles into just two. The mission is ambitious and deeply consequential: expand access to high-quality care for every patient, across Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and beyond. This is not a role for traditional big-company product managers. The team is looking for true 0-to-1 builders —ideally former founders or early startup product operators—who want to immerse themselves in real workflows, ship quickly, and build from scratch in one of the most complex industries in America. As a Founding PM, you will own product suites end to end, work directly with founders and dedicated engineering teams, and shape platform architecture that will determine how the company scales long term. Product Focus Areas This role will drive customer-driven healthcare automation products with clear market pull, including: Automated charting and documentation systems for nursing teams Patient intake and eligibility determination workflows Clinical copilots for senior nursing staff EMR integrations and data platform connectivity (Palantir-style ETL systems) Dual-surface product development: internal tooling + external customer-facing applications This is hands-on, workflow-heavy product work directly impacting clinical execution and patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Top 30 university undergraduate degree (required)
  • 4–8 years of product management experience in fast-moving, highly operational environments
  • Proven experience building products from scratch (0-to-1), not simply managing mature product surfaces
  • Strong technical fluency: ability to engage deeply on system design, APIs, architecture tradeoffs, and constraints
  • Comfort in the weeds writing detailed specs, working directly with engineers, and owning execution
  • Strong platform thinking, including domain modeling and reusable abstractions
  • Proficiency with SQL, spreadsheets, and data-driven prioritization tools
  • Track record building products that drive revenue, efficiency, or improved unit economics
  • Founder-level ownership mindset: low ego, high accountability, no reliance on heavy process
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — no visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Former founder or co-founder experience (highly valued)
  • Experience in Series A–C healthcare or health tech startups
  • Familiarity with AI-driven products, automation platforms, or clinical workflow systems
  • Experience with managed marketplaces involving physical operations (e.g., Uber, DoorDash, Airbnb-style execution)
  • Healthcare domain knowledge (preferred but not required—an A+ builder from another space is prioritized over a weaker healthcare specialist)

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve an end-to-end product suite while building reusable platform leverage across workflows
  • Develop deep operational fluency in the healthcare processes being automated
  • Translate messy real-world problems into clear, detailed technical specifications that engineering can execute quickly
  • Build products from scratch in ambiguous environments—shipping fast, iterating faster
  • Define and track performance metrics that directly drive revenue, unit economics, and scalability
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, clinical stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure products fit real care delivery
  • Drive roadmap development across both internal infrastructure and external user-facing applications

Benefits

  • Meaningful equity
