About The Position

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Foundry Production Worker and be a vital part of creating high-quality metal castings. In this energetic role, you will operate various equipment, assist with the assembly process, and ensure smooth production flow within a fast-paced foundry environment. Your mechanical aptitude and factory experience will contribute to maintaining safety standards and achieving production goals. Essential Functions: This position is crucial in the iron melting process. Remove castings from molds using appropriate tools and machinery Perform finishing operations such as grinding, sanding and polishing to meet product specifications Engage in manual tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying and moving materials Operate tools or machinery involved in casting products including furnaces, molds and ladles. Understand and proactively address quality issues as they arise Assisting with other duties as assigned This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their manufacturing expertise in a lively environment. Requirements

  • Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Be detailed oriented, organized, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently
  • Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch, and bend
  • Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truck
  • Walk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks
  • Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • See, inspect, handle and evaluate product quality
  • Read and understand written English language work instructions
  • Work in non-climate controlled environments, including hot and humid conditions
  • Climb ladders and stairs of varying heights
  • Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Hearing Protection
  • Protective Eyewear
  • Gloves
  • Additional PPE may as required by specific tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with iron pouring but will train
  • Previous foundry & metal casting experience but can train
