Job Summary: Leading the associates to provide fast, friendly guest service by taking, assembling, packaging, and delivering orders in a fast-paced environment. The Details: Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Pay: $16.80 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Grand Canyon South Rim? Requirements

Previous fast food or food service experience.
Good verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey instructions to new employees.
Ability to stand for long periods of time while at work.
Ability to courteously interact with a broad cross-section of guests.
Must be available to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to operate cash register to company standard.
Physical Requirements include: Constantly: Stand, walk, handle, reach outward, lift/carry up to 20lbs. Frequently: Reach above, lift/carry up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs. Occasionally: Climb, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 100lbs.

Responsibilities

Greet and serve guests according to company standards.
Assist with inventory and orders for products needed for the Bright Angel Fountain.
Complete opening and closing side duties properly and as instructed.
Ensure sanitation procedures are being followed and maintained.
Stock ice cream, soda and other items as necessary.
Lead café attendants in completing stocking, cleaning/sanitizing, and guest service tasks.
Communicate with the management team when stock levels are low or any other issues/concerns that they will need to be aware of.
Understand how to utilize, clean, and train associates on the barista equipment and sandwich press.
Adhere to all safety and risk management policies.
Operate cash register and handle funds according to company policy.
Wear required personal protective equipment while performing job.
Crosstrain for Attendant/Cashier duties in employee dining room as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
