About The Position

AbelCine is a leading provider of equipment, technology, and production services for the film, broadcast, and media industries, partnering with studios, networks, brands, and content creators nationwide. We are seeking a Freelance Production Video Editor for a defined, project-based engagement focused on crafting polished, story-driven case study videos. This onsite role is based in Midtown Manhattan, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for urgent needs. We’re looking for a true storyteller — someone who shapes narrative, tone, and pacing with intention. Strong performance may lead to future project-based opportunities. Project Scope The primary focus will be creating case study-style videos, heavily driven by interviews and b-roll, with provided animations and motion graphics elements. These pieces will showcase partnerships, impact, and strategic outcomes in a compelling and brand-aligned way.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional video editing experience in corporate, branded content, or live production environments.
  • Strong narrative instincts and ability to shape interview-driven storytelling.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality case study or brand storytelling videos.
  • Experience with collaborative review platforms (Frame.io preferred).
  • Familiarity with MAM systems (IPV Curator and/or Dalet a plus).
  • Experience supporting live events and fast-turnaround content.
  • Exceptional attention to detail across pacing, sound, branding, and final output.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Edit short- and long-form corporate and branded content, including case studies, executive messaging, and promotional assets.
  • Craft elevated narratives that integrate interviews, b-roll, motion graphics, and data visualization.
  • Shape projects from rough cut through final delivery with strong editorial judgment.
  • Execute color correction, audio mixing, sound design, and final quality control.
  • Integrate motion graphics, text overlays, and animations using After Effects.
  • Perform green screen compositing and keying where needed.
  • Prepare content for multiple platforms (social, internal, web, and marketing).
  • Collaborate closely with producers, designers, and marketing stakeholders.
  • Utilize Frame.io (or similar) for versioning and feedback cycles.
  • Organize and manage assets within Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.
  • Support rapid-turnaround edits and live production needs when required.
