About The Position

The Freight Audit and Payment Analyst contributes to the overall delivery of KAGL’s transport strategy by reviewing, validating, and processing payments to KAG Logistics’ carriers in a timely manner. The Analyst must review invoices for accuracy and compliance with contracts, as well as be able to understand and identify discrepancies as they arise. Accurate payment to KAGL’s carriers is required in order for KAGL to maintain accurate revenue and expense.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
• Some analytical skills and the ability to perform with little supervision
• Effective communication & organizational skills
• Basic Excel skills

Nice To Haves

• A basic understanding of various carrier pricing, tariff, and contract rate application preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate payments to Carriers that haul for KAGL.
• Work with team to respond and analyze all freight payment inquiries from Carriers
• Work with Carriers, KAGL Operations, and KAGL Carrier Support for resolution of payment discrepancies.
• Identify areas that KAGL Operations should seek margin improvement
• Responsible for holding timely and professional communication with KAGL Carriers to resolve items on aging reports.
• Work with KAGL Carrier Support and data team to maintain the accuracy of KAGL’s contracted carrier rates within the Mercury Gate system
• Work with carriers and KAGL Operations to obtain missing documentation so that payments are made accurately and timely.
• Work with KAGL Billing Team to identify required load level billing corrections.
