About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating outbound freight shipments, working with carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring orders are shipped accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while coordinating with carriers, internal teams, and shipping systems.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in freight, shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
Experience with LTL, freight carriers, and shipping documentation.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable communicating with carriers and warehouse staff.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
May occasionally lift or move packages up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours a day and walk the warehouse floor to coordinate shipments.

Nice To Haves

Experience with warehouse or shipping software preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule LTL, truckload, and parcel shipments with carriers.
Compare freight rates and select the most efficient shipping option.
Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping documentation.
Coordinate pickups and communicate shipment readiness with carriers.
Review outbound orders and determine the appropriate freight method.
Ensure shipments are accurately labeled, documented, and staged for pickup.
Track shipments and follow up on delayed or missed pickups.
Resolve freight issues including damage, shortages, or carrier errors.
Maintain relationships with freight carriers and brokers.
Request rate quotes and negotiate shipping options when necessary.
Communicate delivery expectations and shipment updates internally.
Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are prepared and ready for shipment.
Verify pallet counts, dimensions, and weights for freight shipments.
Help prioritize shipments to meet customer deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of shipments and freight charges.
Assist with freight audits and cost tracking when needed.
Support improvements to freight processes and shipping efficiency.
