About The Position

FREIGHT COORDINATOR Des Plaines, IL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Billing for freight Invoicing customers ASN’s processing Advanced Shipping Notices Order Processing and Order Entry Inputting data and generating Bills of Lading for shipments Processing freight quotes for sales representatives Processing Freight Claims against carriers for damages Contacting truck companies for pickups Handling international paperwork / certificates of origin Ordering trucks for the Elk Grove Village production facility Freight Bill auditing Additional Duties as assigned This Job Description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee and may be revised at any time by the Company.

Requirements

• Schedule - 8:00AM to 4:30PM - Monday-Friday
• High school diploma. GED or equivalent
• 2+ years relevant experience
• Strong attention to detail and able to work safely, quickly and accurately
• Ability to read and complete documentation in English; basic math skills required
• Ability to work both independently & collaboratively; basic problem problem-solving & decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

• Strong computer skills, proficient in MS word, excel and Outlook
• Prior experience with a warehouse ERP system i.e Epicor, Oracle, SAP
• Experience using trucking websites such as UPS, FED EX
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
