Front Office Assistant – Orlando Health Imaging Centers Location: 1675 W Broadway St, Oviedo, FL 32765 Schedule: Full-Time, 6:30 AM–8:30 PM, Monday–Saturday with limited Sundays Facility: Orlando Health Imaging Centers About Orlando Health Imaging Centers Orlando Health Imaging Centers provides high‑quality diagnostic imaging services supported by a highly skilled team focused on accuracy, safety, and compassionate care. All locations are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), reflecting excellence in staff qualifications, imaging quality, safety protocols, and quality assurance. Studies are interpreted by board‑certified radiologists to ensure timely and reliable results. Position Overview The Front Office Assistant plays an essential role in ensuring efficient operations within an ambulatory or physician office environment. Under the guidance of leadership such as the Manager of Practice Operations, Medical Office Manager, and Practice Site Supervisor, this position supports both patient access and administrative workflows. The role is ideal for individuals who excel in patient interaction, organization, and supporting busy clinical settings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months clerical, general business, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments according to protocols and patient preferences.
  • Obtain pre‑certifications, authorizations, and verify insurance when required.
  • Collect accurate patient demographic, insurance, and registration information.
  • Answer and route phone calls with professionalism and customer service excellence.
  • Process medical records requests following Orlando Health policies.
  • Use office equipment, technology, and documentation systems effectively.
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and empathetic service to patients and families.

  • Support smooth check‑in, check‑out, and overall patient flow.
  • Follow all Orlando Health and OHPE/OHPG/OPN policies and procedures.
  • Maintain adherence to safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Assist with efficient supply use and support billing activities when needed.
  • Maintain reliable, punctual attendance consistent with organizational policies, including ADA and FMLA guidelines.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of legal considerations, patient rights, and confidentiality.
