About The Position

Effingham Obstetrics & Gynecology, a practice partner of Together Women's Health is seeking a highly organized, professional, and friendly Front Office Patient Services Representative to join our growing women's health practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a critical role in creating a positive patient experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. Requirements

  • 2+ years of front office experience; in a medical setting preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and professionalism
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, always ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere
  • Respond to patient inquiries with empathy and accuracy
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, manage provider schedules, and coordinate follow-up visits
  • Verify insurance, collect copays and balance, and accurately enter patient information into the EMR
  • Monitor and maintain front desk supplies, patient paperwork, and waiting room cleanliness
  • Ensure all check-in and check-out processes are completed correctly and timely
  • Collaborate with medical assistants, billing, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies
  • Help resolve patient concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate person when needed
  • Other job duties may be assigned
