The Front Office Supervisor works under minimal supervision and follows standard procedures and/or written instructions to perform the job duties. Job duties include; responsible for monitoring account receivable for rehabilitation care, data entry, insurance claim submissions/follow up, and monitoring ICD-10 terminology, CPT coding, and appropriate medical terminology to minimize claim denials. This position is able to resolve most questions and problems regarding registration/billing and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of aforementioned processes as well as patient scheduling/registration, coordination of care between therapies and promoting customer care excellence to ensure smooth and efficient practices. Primary resource for compliance related to insurance authorization process requirements of facility for transition of care into the OP setting. Primary resource for care coordination into OP setting from providers internal and external to HHCS. Provides oversight and direction of all front end coordinators and functions including customer service, telephone management, registration, time of service account management, coding review, opening/closure procedures, staff scheduling; helping identify and prioritize tasks. Assist in orienting and training junior team members as well as coordinating scheduling of front end. Demonstrates teamwork to ensure achievement of team and company goals proactively preparing for smooth and efficient operations of the front desk. Orders supplies as necessary to ensure continuous efficient patient management. Other duties as assigned.
