Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a frontend or product-focused software engineer
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript in production environments
- Experience building and shipping high-quality user-facing products, ideally in startup environments
- Proven ability to own frontend systems end-to-end, including architecture and design decisions
- Strong product sense and attention to UX/UI detail
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth teams with high ownership expectations
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) San Francisco and work onsite full-time
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Next.js, TanStack, or modern frontend ecosystems
- Background in healthcare, AI, or other complex, data-heavy domains
- Experience building design systems or component libraries (e.g., Storybook)
- Familiarity with backend technologies (Node.js, Python) and cloud infrastructure
- Experience working on mission-critical or workflow-heavy applications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX excellence
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the frontend architecture for a complex, mission-critical healthcare platform
- Design and build high-quality, intuitive user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks
- Lead UI/UX improvements across core product surfaces to enhance usability and performance
- Build and maintain scalable component systems (e.g., Storybook) to accelerate development across teams
- Collaborate closely with backend and full-stack engineers to define APIs and ensure seamless integration
- Translate complex clinical workflows and data into clear, actionable user experiences
- Drive product quality through thoughtful design, iteration, and attention to detail
- Work directly with internal stakeholders and users to refine product experiences
- Contribute to a fast-paced, high-ownership engineering culture with strong product focus
