About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As a Software Development Engineer III on the New Glenn Data Engineering, Software, and Automation (DESA) team, you will play a pivotal part in realizing this vision. In your role as a Front-End Developer, you will create and enhance the tools used to manage foundational engineering data across multiple spaceflight systems. Collaborating closely with specialists, you will build solutions that empower the teams designing, operating, and maintaining New Glenn vehicles. By transforming complex data into actionable insights, your work will enable informed decision-making. Success in this role requires a high degree of autonomy and proactive alignment with team objectives. You should be adept at clear communication, sharing your perspectives, and engaging in modern collaborative software development practices. This includes clean code, thorough documentation, and version control (git). You will be expected to take ownership of requirements, refining them as needed and delivering impactful results using modern data, cloud, and web technologies.
