Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to demonstrate the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated scientist to establish and optimize an in-house platform for the expression, purification, and analytical characterization of complex recombinant proteins, including antibodies and antibody fragments, using secreted mammalian expression systems. This is a unique opportunity for an expert in protein science and automation to build a critical new capability from the ground up within our protein science research group. The successful candidate will drive the development of innovative methods, automation solutions, and establish best practices for high-throughput expression and characterization of antibodies and antibody fragments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related scientific discipline
  • 4-6 years of experience in relevant lab work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in antibody expression/purification is a plus
  • Experience in SPR/BLI for antibody/antibody fragment characterization is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Extensive hands-on experience in recombinant protein expression in mammalian systems
  • Demonstrated experience with laboratory automation (TECAN) and high-throughput screening methodologies
  • Solid understanding and practical application of various protein analytical techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
