Thanks for your commitment to Tyson Foods. SUMMARY: Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. Document and calculate inspection results accurately. Take corrective action when necessary, alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes. Identify, segregate, and isolate non-conforming products. Report inspection results to management. All team members are responsible for safety, including personal and food safety. Complete any additional assignments as requested. Work with both beef and pork products, as well as other potential allergens. Willingness to work in any department, including but not limited to beef, pork, and ground pork. This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations and external candidates will then be reviewed for consideration. “Internal disqualifiers are the following: 6 attendance points Any suspension on record for the last 12 months”

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats Food industry required, or other FSQA type experience.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
  • Special Skills: The ability to lead by example and motivate an hourly workforce, good problem identification and problem solving skills, good math and organizational skills, and the ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress and have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (40 lbs. or more).
